Carolyn Fuson
(They/Them/Theirs)
Carolyn Fuson was born and raised in Ohio and is a creative writing student at Ohio University. Most of their writing is dark fantasy. They began writing at twelve years old and fell in love with storytelling. Their biggest inspiration is Peter S. Beagle, author of books such as The Last Unicorn and A Fine and Private Place.

Abbie Hancock is a Fourth-year theater and creative writing major at Ohio University. She has been writing for about four years. Abbie has a strong passion for fantasy in addition to most genre fiction. She found her passion for writing through her love of DnD and reading, wanting a chance to bring her own stories to life. She has written many fiction and poetry pieces in the past and even created her own literary journal in 2023. Abbie is very grateful to contribute to this journal and is looking forward to people getting to read her work.

Emma Kilpatrick is a born and raised Ohioan, poet, and musician. She fell in love with poetry the first time she read Edgar Allan Poe. She has written hundreds of poems in the following twelve years, inspired by the likes of Richard Siken, Brian Doyle, Derek Mahon, and Billy Collins, among many others.

Dalanie Beach

Dalanie Beach is a creative writer and visual artist from Anderson, IN. They are the current co-editor of Quarter After Eight and have also held editorial positions with Chimes and Oxmag. Their short story “Everything You Never Had” was published as Editor’s Choice in the Spring 2022 issue of East Fork Journal of the Arts. Their work has also appeared in Drunk Monkeys, Glassworks, The Tusculum Review, The Spectacle, and Oxmag.

Sam Lochrie was born and raised in Boston and he has been in love with poetry since he was a kid. He wrote his first poem when he was in fifth grade. It was about the boogie man and he has been using
poetry as a way to put a name to the big feelings ever since. His current favorites are Sue Hyon Bae and Pablo Neruda.

Chris Miles

Chris Miles is 20 years old, and most of their writing is surreal, short-form horror! They are magnetized to horror because they love the way the genre explores social topics through the macabre and grotesque. Some of their biggest influences they feel are Clive Barker and Ryu Murakami.

Lizzie Fisher is a second-year Creative Writing student at Ohio University. She first began her writing journey in middle school, and is glad the passion has taken her as far as college and getting published. A graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Marc has been a working Artist, Illustrator, Designer and Creative Director for over 25 years. A strong focus on story-telling is present in the work - regardless of medium or audience. Texture and light is always at play, and the primary influence for every creation is the emotional connection with each subject.

Aurore Byrd is a young writing professional, working as the Development & Communications Coordinator at non-profit, Your Store of the Queen City; writing grants and overseeing development for food access in food desert areas in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in 2023 with a B.A. in English Creative Writing having her original poem “Panic” published in Ohio University's undergraduate literary magazine called "Sphere" in the 67th issue and enjoys participating in frequent open mic poetry nights in her hometown of Cincinnati. Aurore’s preferred style of writing is poetry and creative nonfiction, and her favorite books to read are thrillers or memoirs with a soft spot for romantasy.
